First Aid at Work FAW

First Aid at Work - (FAW)

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations requires employers to have completed an Assessment of First Aid need.  Where the risk is higher the recommended First Aid Qualification is the First Aid at Work Certificate.

Typically, the risk is higher where there are vehicles and machinery involved.  However the chances of any employee having a Cardiac Arrest on any day would also increase as the number of employees increase.

The FAW course is conducted over 3 days (18 hours).
Renewing FAW holders can complete a 2 day (12 hours)

The HSE also strongly recommend Annual Refresher Session (3 hours) within the qualification period of any FAW or EFAW Certificate.
