First Aid at Work

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981
require all employers to carry out an assessment of first aid need
 and have sufficient trained personnel
to render first aid on their premises.

We can advise as to appropriate courses for your
organisation. We can come to you and run
courses at your venue or your individuals
 can join our open courses.

Tailoring training to your workplace

Your workplace is unique, as long as we cover all the mandated elements, we can tailor training to your environment.
Examples of changes we can easily accommodate

Changing the AED Training Unit to the same as the one you have
Adding Child/Infant CPR to EFAW/FAW
Tourniquets & Haemostatics
Some of these will increase the course length.
AED use
Automated External Defibrillators

We include basic AED training in all our first aid courses and where needed we can offer group training on stand-alone AED courses.
This will give increased confidence in the safe use of an AED.
Every minute saved in the delivery of the shock can increase survival rates by 10%.  Confident operators can therefore make a fantastic difference.  Formal certification can be provided where necessary.

See our equipment sales for our AED deals.

Blended or eLearning

With demands to reduce face to face time, we have invested in an eLearning or blended option on some of our first aid courses.

Paediatric First Aid

Paediatric First can be done with 6 of the 12 hours done on line.  Then a practical day to confirm knowledge and practice the skills.

First Aid at Work

First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work are allowed to be delivered with a third of the course on line.  This means 2 days face to face on the FAW and reduced the EFAW to 4 hours contact time.  This can be useful where the employer wants large numbers on an EFAW course.  We would be able to have 12 on a the practical in the morning and another 12 in the afternoon.

These course do not reduce the cost of the training, but can allow for reduced venue hire costs.

Please call us to see if eLearning would work for you.
